Class representatives play a pivotal part in communications for parents, class teachers and the school. Every class in KS1 and KS2 has a rep, and we are hoping to extend this through the High School classes. Sometimes two parents share the role.
Typically the class reps manage a WhatsApp group with parents from their child’s class, sharing information from the school or PTA, and reporting back to the PTA when necessary. They may run a class kitty to organise teacher gifts, organise social events for the class, and welcome new families who join the school.
Class reps are part of the PTA’s communications portfolio and commitment is for one school year. Please volunteer in January at the Welcome Meeting organised by your class teacher. We look forward to meeting you!
