As we celebrate the International School of Cape Town’s 25th birthday this year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the incredible journey we have been on as a school and as a community. Over the past quarter-century, our school has grown and flourished, becoming a beacon of educational excellence in South Africa and beyond. I would like to take a moment to reflect on our remarkable achievements and the milestones that have shaped us into the institution we are today.
Since 2007, our students have consistently demonstrated their academic prowess, earning 118 Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards. These accolades recognize the hard work and dedication of our students and the unwavering support provided by our exceptional educators. It is a testament to the nurturing environment we have created at the International School of Cape Town, where students are encouraged to pursue their passions and strive for greatness.
We are also proud to share that 81 of our students have received awards for being the top students in South Africa. This recognition showcases the outstanding academic achievements of our students, placing them at the forefront of educational excellence in the country. Additionally, 13 of our students have been honoured for their remarkable performance by ranking in the Global Top 10, and an astounding 3 students have received the prestigious award for being the Top Student worldwide. These accomplishments highlight the exceptional calibre of education we provide at ISCT.
Beyond academic achievements, we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates who have completed their AS or A-Levels at ISCT. To date, we have proudly bid farewell to 455 High School Graduates, each equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in the world. Our alumni are a testament to the transformative power of education and a source of inspiration for current and future students.
One of the hallmarks of the International School of Cape Town is our diverse and inclusive community. With over 40 different nationalities represented within our student body, we embrace the richness of cultural exchange and foster an environment that encourages global perspectives and understanding. Our school is a melting pot of cultures, where students learn from one another and develop a global mindset that prepares them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
Lastly, I would be remiss not to mention our two campuses, which stand as proud symbols of our heritage and growth. These remarkable spaces serve as vibrant hubs of learning, creativity, and community. They are where our students and staff come together to explore, discover, and forge lifelong connections. We are grateful for the opportunity to nurture young minds within these inspiring settings.
As we celebrate our 25th birthday, let us not only reflect on our achievements but also look ahead to the future.
