Our November 2014 A level class kept our unbroken record of 100% pass in their A Level Cambridge exams. Congratulations to those students.
AS (Advanced Subsidiary) exam results, while not the best set we have had, were secure. Our 87% A-D grade (SA university entrance requirement ) is a little down on the 2013 92% achievement, while our 97% A-E (passing) grades is much in line with the 98% of 2013.
Where the disappointment lies is in the top end, with 40% of students achieving A-B grades at AS level, compared to the fantastic 70% of the 2013 class.
It was very pleasing to see 3 students achieve A grades in Afrikaans (IGCSE). These students all wrote the exam early and are continuing to AS level while in Year 11.
At AS level, the English Language class stole the show with 36% of the students achieving an A grade – no mean feat.
Congratulations to our top achiever at AS level, Cairo Price, who has stayed on to complete his A levels.
