Other opportunities to become involved
Library
The library is a vibrant and central part of our school. Anne, our librarian is always happy to have parents help with covering books, shelving, labelling or issuing. Parents are also involved in helping Anne with the annual Willie Wonka Cake Sale during Book Week in the third term (see picture below).

Reading
Parents in the Nursery and Reception classes have the opportunity to read to their children’s class at story time. There is a sign up roster outside the classroom.
Uniform shop
The Nearly New uniform shop is open on Fridays and Elizabeth, the parent who runs it is always looking for volunteers to assist during this time.
Class reps (parents)
Every class in the primary school has a parent class representative. Their role ranges from welcoming new parents and classmates to co-ordinating birthday cards for teachers and end-of-year parties.
